Anita Wall wins 2015 Guldbagge Award

HEMMA (Home) nominated for Icelandic Film Awards EDDAN

Swedish/Icelandic Romantic Drama and Award Winning Feature HEMMA (Home) by Maximilian Hult, has been nominated for Icelandic Film Awards EDDAN in the Categories Best Director – Maximilian Hult and Best Editing – Valdís Óskarsdóttir and Sigurður Eyþórsson. HEMMA was shot in Iceland in the summer of 2012, with support from the Icelandic Film Centre and a wonderful mixture of Swedish and Icelandic Cast & Team. HEMMA. The film is produced by  Swedish Producers Anna G Magnúsdóttir & Anders Granström and Co-produced by Icelandic Guðrún Edda Þórhannesdóttir & Friðrik Þór Friðriksson.

Earlier the film has been awarded The South Korean Busan Audience Bank Award, Opening Film at Mannheim Heidelberg, Eucomenical Award as Best film in Mannheim-Heidelberg, Grand Prix Best Film Febio Fest Prague, Best Male Actor Erik Lundqvist at Peace & Love Film Festival Sweden and Guldbagge for Best Female Supporting Role Anita Wall.

HEMMA (Home) releases in Icelandic Cinemas!

Maximilian Hults romantic drama HEMMA (Home) will be released in Icelandic cinemas Friday the 24th of October 2014. The film was shot in Iceland the summer och 2012 with support from the Icelandic Film Centre and Ministry of Industry and with a large Icelandic participation both in front of and behind the camera. So it’s a pleasant reunion that takes in Iceland Friday the 24th of Oct.

Hemma premiererd Internationally at Busan International Film Festival, where it competed and won the  Busan Bank Audience Award, as best international film. Form then on it took part and competed at various other international film festivals with good results.  Hemma was released in Swedish cinemas on July 11th 2014 in 23 cities and 27 screens and was very well received by both critics and audiences.

Erik Lundqvist Best Male Actor at Peace & Love Film Festival

On June 26th  Erik Lundqvist was awarded as “Best Male Actor” at Peace & Love Film Festival’s Award Ceremony, for his role as Tom in the feature HEMMA (Home) by director Maximilian Hult. Only 11 years old at the time of shooting Erik’s performance is impressive and has been recognized and appreciated by audiences in Festivals all over the word where the film has been screened and awarded.

Shanghai screens HEMMA

Shanghai International Film Festival 2014, June 14-22, has selected HEMMA to screen in the section “Spectrum” for films from all over the world.

HEMMA tours Australia!

HEMMA (Home) will be screened in 7 Australian cities during the month of July as part of the Scandinavian Film Festival 2014.

Febiofest Grand Prix Award to HEMMA (Home)

From XXI Prague International Film Festival:

Ladies and gentlemen … The winner of the Grand Prix this year’s Febiofest is.. a Swedish-Icelandic film Home (Hemma)! Its director Maximilian Hult will receive the Grand Prix at the Closing Ceremony today (28th of March 2014) along with € 5,000 as a reward. Another € 5,000 will be given to promote the distribution of the film.

The prize will be handed to the Director by the honorary chairman of this year’s jury, Oscar-winning costume designer, Mr. Theodor Pištěk.

The jury praised the deeply human story, great acting and humor of the film. Among the views of jury evaluation, appeared these comments:

“Superbly rendered the characters that are very different and yet the director then connects them as a cure for loneliness.”

“Precise and metered work with conventions. The romantic comedy, which was sensitive and funny as the main heroine.”

“Great civilian performances and quirky humor.”

“Living film with an emphasis on the love between people and understanding the differences between people.”
